| The
failures of the City of San Diego revealed in recent newspaper
articles are simply a reflection of the moral and spiritual decline
of these people personally to commit to that righteous excellence
that comes from submitting to the true God.
There
are additional reasons why the city of San Diego is not America’s
Finest City. One only has to drive to see the many porn shops
and homosexual bathhouses to understand just how depraved our
finest city is. In addition, the city of San Diego has
endorsed the annual Gay Pride events and funded its destructive
lifestyle. (The former acting mayor of San Diego is a lesbian
who at one time reportedly owned some abortion clinics.)
Sadly
and tragically, the Republican party of San Diego endorsed Jerry
Sanders to become the new mayor of San Diego. Sanders, has promoted
those who promote abortion and he has also supported gay rights
and has marched in the gay pride parade in San Diego.
I
am sure that many in the GOP will defend their candidates saying,
“Well, we can’t vote for a Democrat and besides our
candidate will turn the financial state of the City of SD around
to be fiscally sound.” To which I would reply, “the reason
the city is in such a mess, is that it is the moral and spiritual
state of the politicians, regardless of party, that determine
the fiscal and moral outcome of the city. If you want the “finest
city” you have to have the finest moral and spiritual state,
which is found in Christ, not in the promotion of progressive,
pragmatist, relativist, hedonism.
Godly, conservative Christian voters have
virtually no representation in the city of San Diego, and the
spiritual/moral decline continues.
Also,
it continues to baffle the mind how widespread the killing of
the unborn continues throughout the county, many of them targeting
Mexicans from across the border. (I guess this is the way that
pro abortion Republicans and Democrats deal with illegal immigration.)
Tens of thousands of unborn children die in San Diego each year
by abortion, many by our tax dollars.
We
should continue to pray for the spiritual revival of San Diego,
as well as the churches, for the city of San Diego is merely a
reflection of the moral and spiritual decay in the churches. May
God have mercy on us all, especially our children and children’s
children. They are the one’s who will be handed less than
what we should become — to be a light on a hill.
