Frank Grubbs’ passion for reaching
out to others started at an early age. Traveling to orphanages in
Tijuana with his Clairemont youth group, Grubbs knew what his purpose
in life would be. Helping the underprivileged, and particularly
children, in developing countries became his life passion.
A
native of San Diego and currently residing in Oceanside, Frank Grubbs
has been bringing his message of faith to people all across the
country. Frank is a World Vision Artist Associate and inspires churches
and retreats to become involved with the World Vision Ministry through
his special style of music.
World
Vision is the largest privately funded Christian relief and development
organization in the world. Frank is proud to have been associated
with them full time for the last 10 years. In fact, his mission
statement is, “To encourage Christians to become involved
with missions around the world, and to encourage Christians to make
a difference by sponsoring a child with World Vision.”
Frank
has succeeded in doing just that. And, with his latest C.D., “One
By One,” he is sure to raise even more support. One By One
is the fourth release by this talented artist. All the words and
music were written by Grubbs, and the 10 songs were inspired by
children World Vision sponsors all over the world.
One
By One, the title track, prays for a child in a war torn town thousands
of miles away, because she is part of the family. The lyrics remind
us that we can make a difference one-by-one. The upbeat worship
treat, “I’ve Got Your Love,” lifts our spirits
with a great guitar intro and catchy drums. The refrain, “God
Is Love,” are words that cannot be heard too much.
“Into
The World” commands us to spread the news of Jesus Christ
with a reggae beat. “Wavemakers” starts off with the
quote by Jim Elliot, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot
keep, to gain what he cannot lose.” The artist challenges
us to make a difference with a traditional rock beat.
“Anywhere You Lead” is a cleverly
written ballad proclaiming “Anywhere you lead I want to go
now.” It tells us to trust in the Lord and embrace where He
leads us “One Day At A Time” reminds us to live in the
here and now, and keep our focus on God.
Frank
was presented the Bob Pierce Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf
of his work for children all across the globe. Over 500,000 children
are sponsored by people in the U.S., due largely to numerous artists,
including Frank, who tour and hold conferences. World Vision celebrated
its 50th anniversary in 2000, and is active in over 100 countries.
Grubbs
tours churches and retreats year round, presenting the Good News
of Christ. His main focus is to get Christians involved in sponsoring
a child, making a much-needed difference in their lives.
Frank
is available to lead worship, as a guest musician or to simply give
a presentation on World Vision ministries. He doesn’t ask
for donations, but simply for the opportunity to speak on behalf
of underprivileged children across the globe.
