Business Proverbs

When you are left in charge of the establishment, do you cheerfully accept that responsibility?

The apostle Peter was instructing others and said, ³Care for the flock...watch over it willingly, not grudgingly...² (1 Peter 4:11, NLT).

In small shops, restaurants or other establishments the owner may often leave to attend to other business.

Left behind, a person can easily become resentful, believing they are left behind while the owner plays.

Instead, look at the responsibility as an opportunity to demonstrate your leadership. Faithfully attend to the business. Then, take time to clean up. Delight the boss with little touches that show that you are trustworthy.
