Switchfoot has new release

San Diego’s own melodic rock band Switchfoot was scheduled to appear at Tower Records La Jolla on Tuesday, Feb. 25 to celebrate the release of their major label debut album “The Beautiful Letdown” (RED Ink/Columbia Records).

Swithfoot has enjoyed much success over the past few years, including releasing three indie albums that have gone on to sell over 400,000 copies to date, a Grammy nomination in 2001, over 40 of their songs used on major TV network programming, five songs included on the gold-certified soundtrack for the hit film “A Walk To Remember” as well as winning multiple San Diego Music Awards among others. To show their appreciation for their hometown fans, band members were scheduled to sign autographs beginning at 7 p.m. on February 25 and selling copies of “The Beautiful Letdown” on the first day of its release.
