NUMEROUS
MAJOR PRAYER EVENTS IN AREA PLANNED When
one of the city's leading pastors stepped to the stage at the Prayer
for Transformation gathering on Jan. 25, he commented to those attending,
"When I came tonight I didn't know if I would be addressing 40 people
or 400 people. You don't know how it blesses the heart of a pastor

PRAYER
EVANGELIST VISITING APRIL 13 If
an evangelist is, by dictionary definition, a person who travels
around spreading the good news of the Gospel, then a prayer evangelist
must be a person who travels around spreading the good news of the
power and effectiveness of prayer. That is Dr. Terry Teykl. Teykl
will be presenting an Acts 29 Prayer Encounter in San Diego on ...
LOCAL
CHURCH PRAYER LEADERS NETWORK There
is a new emphasis in the prayer movement: "the return of passionate
and powerful prayer in local churches across America." After the
success in the 90's of prayer initiatives outside of the local church,
such as "Praying through the Window," the need to fuel prayer within
the context of the local church has become a priority...
Pastor's
Heart
'If
I had the opportunity to meet with President Bush, what would I
ask, discuss or advise?'
Pastor
Ivan O. Clark, Renaissance Apostolic Ministries, San Diego
Immediately the first thoughts that broke through the dam
of contemplation were the tides of today's issues. From that
of the liberal band-aide politics of the Democrats, to that
of the tourniquet conservatism of the Republicans. But then
it hit me, President Bush is a Christian - which in reality
makes him and me brothers in the body of Christ. Which in
turn, now enables us to synthesize the two competing political
parties as theo-crates (the belief that God has absolute sovereignty
and has absolute Lordship over our lives through Christ).
Thus, meaning that no matter how and by what political process
my brother in Christ got there, we both can rest assured in
Daniel 2:21, which states He (being God) changes the times
and the seasons; He (being God) removeth, kings, and setteth
up kings; he (being God) giveth wisdom unto the wise and knowledge
to them that know understanding. This makes the question an
easy one to answer. If I had the opportunity to meet with
my spiritual brother George W. Bush, what would I ask, discuss
or advise is simply Jesus, Jesus and more Jesus!
Pastor
Albert Lam, Chinese Bible Church of San Diego, San Diego
My heart's passion is to discuss America's youth with our
President, for they are our country's future. America's teenagers
are richly blessed - they have education, wealth, and the
many freedoms that define American society - yet they are
sadly unfulfilled. Recently, our leaders have focused primarily
on economics, and this has resulted in youth who want money
and power and don't realize the beauty of virtue, values,
and character. I would encourage President Bush to support
making community service mandatory and applaud him for encouraging
Americans to volunteer their time. I would thank him for restoring
integrity and trust to the Presidency and encourage him to
continue to stand for what is moral and right in the face
of those who would advocate moral relativism. America's youth
want and need to see unwavering, upstanding and moral leadership.
America's future depends upon it. Our heritage is rooted in
solid Judeo-Christian values and our future must be built,
not upon the shifting sand, but on the solid rock of truth.
