Bill Getz,
a sixth grade teacher at Washington Middle School in Vista, was
recently honored as Teacher of the Month in the Teachers Are Heroes
Program sponsored by Azusa Pacific University’s San Diego
Regional Center and Jefferson Pilot radio stations. Getz’s
nomination essay describes him as “a very caring and sincere
person in the classroom and with his fellow employees. He presents
his materials in such a way that students want to come to his classes
to learn. He can motivate them to be both better people as well
as better learners in his classes.”
