| Congressman
Charlie Norwood of Georgia shares some interesting details about
the many immigrant groups joined in the La Raza movement, which
means The Race. The National Council of La Raza took over $15.2
million in federal grants last year, of which $7.9 million was
in the U.S. Education grants for charter schools and an undisclosed
amount went to get-out-the-vote efforts supporting La Raza. Former
MEChA members who continue to support La Raza are Antonio Villaraigosa
and California Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante. The Council of La
Raza was allowed to participate in Congressional hearings in the
House and Senate where they continuously lobby for open borders
and amnesty for illegal aliens.
Key among secondary
organizations to La Raza is Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan
(MEChA), which seeks to carve a racist nation out of the American
west. It teaches that Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah,
New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington make up an area known
as Aztlan, the fictional home of the Aztecs, and surrender to
La Raza once enough immigrants, legal or illegal, enter and claim
amnesty. Of course, if you disagree with them you are called ³racist.²
What are the American
citizens going to do about La Raza and MEChA? Are we going to
sit back and allow these groups to take over our country with
the help of some members of Congress? We need to inform our representatives
who La Raza and MEChA really are and their intentions.
