A success story from
home buying fair
The
Garza’s attended the last year’s North County Home Buyers Fair on
the campus of Palomar College in San Marcos. Rick works as the facilities
supervisor at New Venture Christian Fellowship and Maria works for Tri-City
Medical Center in accounts receivable. They both attend New Venture Christian
Fellowship in Oceanside.
After
checking into the various first-time buyers programs with their realtor, Thor
Sorensen from C21-Award, who they met at the fair, they began
their search for that first time home. They were pre-approved with a lender and
knew how much house they could afford.
They
made offers and searched for homes for several months until they found their
home in February. They were able to obtain an FHA loan based on 103% financing
for the property. When they closed escrow they were able have their deposit
returned to them which means they were able to buy for no money down.
Rick
and Maria closed on their home in March of this year and in May their home was
dedicated to the Lord by one of the pastors of New Venture. Rick and Maria
Garza attended the North County Homebuyers Fair and they are now new homeowners
in Oceanside.
The
5th Annual North County Homebuyers Fair will be held on the campus of Palomar
College on June 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free to the general
public and provides a one-stop-shopping opportunity to meet realtors, lenders
and representatives from North County municipalities that provide down payment
assistance for first time homebuyers.
