Virginia
Tech
|
| Sometimes, we as a culture and society don't quite understand why
it has to take a tragedy of biblical or monumental proportions
for us to get down on our knees and bow before God. Myself included!
We were all busy beginning a normal day on Monday, April 16, when
all of sudden the lives of 32 students at Virginia Tech are cut
short and the families' way of life at home alters and changes
in a heartbeat. All because of one lone gunman's 'mentally ill'
and/or somewhat senseless satanic behavior and act, resulting
in life-threatening violence and sense of insecurity.
Schools and colleges are supposed to be looked at as places to learn,
while the safety of kids, teens, and young adults is a campus'
No. 1 priority, whether it be a Christian or secular school. I
do believe Christian schools and colleges probably have a lower
number or no violent incidents with kids and youth due to the
fact that as well as giving kids an education, the gospel is preached
to them and the ten commandments of God given to Moses and Jesus'
commandment for us to love each other as He had loved us is all
very clear. One of Godıs original ten commandments: 'Thou shalt
not kill!' What happened at Virginia Tech was a sinful and 'vainful'
act of mass murder and killing. Ironically, this massacre happened
on the same week that the students of Columbine High School were
getting ready to commemorate the 8-year anniversary of the massacre
that happened there!
So, here's a reality check. No school or college is 100% safe, but
only through God in Jesus Christ. He is our strong tower and will
protect us from evil. But only in his time. Our earthly life here
is short. We are not promised tomorrow. Find Jesus before it's
too late!

I also want you to know that more people know about your paper now!
As you know, our Child Evangelism Fellowship receives copies every

Thank you for the tickets to House of Blues and we are looking forward
to going there! May God continue to bless all of you at Good News,

| Fundamentalists |
For those still in the dark about Bush and his administration, its
agenda and motives: Fundamentalists, unchecked, can destroy not
only the World Trade Center, but also any country in the world,
if given the chance.
It was fundamentalists that flew airplanes into our buildings and
it was another kind of fundamentalism that responded by attacking
and occupying Iraq. From President Bushıs first use of the word
³crusade,² a fundamentalist mindset has been driving American
policies, just as a comparable fundamentalism drives the attacks
of our enemies.
Fundamentalism is alive
and well in our countryıs borders, at home in the offices of the
White House and the Pentagon (remember Lt. Gen. William Boykinıs
comments) as much as in the hills of Afghanistan and desert of
Iraq. The Bush administration and pseudo-Republicans will only
become more extreme as time goes on, if they retain power.

We are fast becoming outnumbered thanks to George
Bush. Bank of America is in conjunction with the Bush Administration.
I suggest that we all go across the border and make ourselves
Mexican and learn some Spanish and then cross the border and get
caught. Youıll have a lot more than you do now. Not a bad deal.
