Steve
Duff is no stranger to pop. He’s recorded 6 CD’s already.
His 7th CD will “Stick” in your mind as a great pop
worship CD. The blending of Steve’s smooth voice, dexterous
fingers on the keyboard and the rest that make a pop CD harmonize
to form his very own unique style.
Steve Duff’s previous albums include “Short Stories
of Praise,” “The Black Album,” “Against
the Moon,” “Oceans in Motion,” “Ancient
Crimes” and “Prophecy Checks.” After recording
more than a couple albums, Steve wanted to record an album with
more meaning. “In the midst of madness stick with what you
know is true, to Truth, hope.” Asked what he wants to be best
known for, Steve replied, “somebody the Lord could use despite
my brokenness.”
Many people wander through life knowing God, but “do you
know the Man?” This cleverly written song with a great message
lays it on the line: “Do you really know Jesus?” “You
come here seeking knowledge, from so many years ago. And you ask
me, to remember when your Father’s face would show. But, how
am I supposed to live a lifetime, when nothing deeper than His face
I choose...So yes, I knew your Father, but I didn’t know the
Man. Yes, I knew your Father, but I did not know the Man. Patience
was His virtue, and gentleness His creed. He spoke of You so many
times, down on bended knee. But, how am I supposed to change a lifetime,
would I ever dare to go so deep...But I ask you, to get ready, and
I’m beggin’ you to stay. Cause, in the end, there’s
only this, one question remains...Well, I know you know your Father,
but do you know the Man. Yes, I know you know your Father, but do
you want to know the Man?”
What a great witness of the Lord through song! “If you
do things on your own, you’ll end up trashed,” said
Steve. So get to know the Man! Steve’s favorite Bible verse
comes from Proverbs 16:25, “There is a path before each person
that seems right, but it ends in death.”
“Stick” features 13 songs. Some of the titles include
“Will You?” “I Need You,” “Lay Me
Down,” “Somewhere in the Storm,” “Lovechild,”
“Nothing Left,” “Stick with the God,” and
“Give It All Away.” Throughout the album Steve is consistent
with staying true to pop music without compromising on great lyrics
to keep it a great Christian treasure. “Will You?” speaks
of a prodigal finding mercy in God’s arms. “Somewhere
in the Storm” features Steve’s voice to the piano singing
of God’s love, growing stronger through the storm.

Remember the last words from the song “Stick with the
God” - “But, I will stick with the God, who stuck with
me.”
