Festival of Hope 2004

Festival of Hope is an ongoing outreach by Maranatha Chapel of Rancho Bernardo to Ireland. The Good News of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is promoted through using Festival Concerts, “Fun and Bible Clubs,” (VBS) and sports including basketball, golf clinics and skate demonstrations, among many other activities. The emphasis each year is on building our relationships with our local Irish friends and sharing our love of Jesus with one and all. The 2004 team was named the “Less is More” Team as only about half the usual number of people went over for the 11-day short-term missions trip that had an additional ministry site from the previous year. The Festival of Hope is overseen by Pastor Ray Bentley and Missions Pastor Gary Lawton.
