Panera Bread Bakery-Café has raised $3,100 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in October. All four locations in San Diego - Carlsbad, Escondido, Mira Mesa and Vista - participated in the sale of “Pink Ribbon Bagels” during October, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

“Panera is extremely proud to have been able to donate $3,100 to help the Susan G. Komen Foundation fund additional research to aid those battling breast cancer,” said Patrick Rogers, operations manager for all San Diego Panera locations. “We couldn’t have raised so much without the community of San Diego’s support, so we thank our customers for helping this wonderful cause.”

Panera Bread owns and franchises bakery-cafés under the Panera Bread and Saint Louis Bread Co. names. The company is the leader in the emerging specialty bread/café category due to its unique bread combined with a quick, casual dining experience. A location in San Marcos was also opening in late November.
